Oh how I love this precious bonnet baby...💕
Family truly is EVERYTHING!
I stare at my beautifully made, perfectly innocent, pure baby girl and think of the world she will face someday...... Let's admit it, so many people are distracted, entertained, and just plain too comfortable and downright lazy - while the world around us becomes more and more corrupt, stealing happiness, prosperity, and general safety, health, and wellbeing from future generations... Deep thoughts I know - I never claimed to be or aim to be the typical 20-something year old blonde blogger! lol No offense to other blogger gals! We all have different gifts and passions! :)
Seriously though, this isn't to pick on anyone - it is just a fact. It's easy to fall into the trap of feeling like being a "good person" is enough, but is it really enough? (And are you letting the world dictate to you what a "good person" is or the Bible???) Studies show that we base our actions off of and create our belief systems around what we SEE the most and HEAR the most. Sooo... When a secular society gets to dictate what is a "good person" - then being a "good person" definitely isn't enough! ! ! Right?! This "monkey-see/ monkey-do" mentality helped us learn language and general life when we were all babies and it still continues to shape us. Unfortunately though, if we are not aware of this and do not guard our hearts and minds with the God's Word, the Holy Bible, seek truth and guidance (instead of just entertainment), and surround ourselves with wholesome influences - we simply become the easy victims to the plethora of secular influences in today‘s society...
This leads me to my main point that tugs at my heart in this moment and so very often… Some people may be completely ignorant to real world issues that are creeping up on them, but MANY do realize! We cannot claim ignorance forever – especially now that corruption is more blatantly thrown in our faces than ever (day-by-day). As Christians, we should feel chastised and our conscience should be troubled if we chose to turn a blind eye to truth once we’ve seen it or are aware. It is not being hateful – it is just a fact – that it is the people that DO realize, yet still run and shove their heads back into the sand and ignore everything for the sake of their “current temporary comfort” that really do the most disservice and outright harm to the next generation. God tells us in the Bible that “fence sitters” are worse than the actual enemy of good in His eyes… [Revelations 3:15-16, Matthew 12:30] That's HUGE! I don't know about you, but when I read that I suddenly get thirsty! No, not dehydrated - I thirst for more knowledge and truth and get the spark of confidence lit in me to speak about it and not be quiet and cowardly.
You don’t have to be the next “Alex Jones horn blower”, a YouTuber with a TONS of subscribers, a political figure, or a pastor of a large church to be a powerful citizen and say and do things that help change society (starting with your community) for the better. Naturally, of course, those types of callings are not for everyone. So what's my point? What are we supposed to do? Honestly, I write this because I just genuinely care so immensely for future generations! I am not perfect, I just want to encourage others to CARE and be more passionate about SEEKING truth. Please don’t be scared of asking questions! This is actually something I’ve personally always struggled with having the confidence to do and I still have to really work on it. It is HEALTHY to question things instead of settling for blissful ignorance, accepting tyranny, or being "spoon fed" your beliefs; it is healthy to prioritize reading your Bible instead of scrolling through your social media feed as soon as you wake up; it is healthy to spend face-to-face time teaching your children your values instead of leaving it to social media and schools to “educate” them on life; it is healthy to choose to spend your free time seeking truth researching online, listening to wholesome audiobooks or reading an insightful book instead of watching TV; Lastly, it is healthy (and most important) to be proud of who God made you (your heritage and individual gifts) and your faith and not being scared to speak about it and stand up for it instead of being scared of childish “buzz words” you just MIGHT be called - like “racist” and “homophobe”… Really these words mean less and less EVERY DAY because they are SO overused.
I don't say any of this to put myself on a pedestal and look down upon others. I am human - I am young - not wise in years of age yet - I have my weak points of course. I will always be striving to better myself. There is always more to learn and I have always admired people that are committed to being life-long-learners. It's truly inspiring, righteous, and really so so important now days! Just good character and moral should be enough to provoke our conscious to care about what is going on in the world (and right around us/ our communities). Even if you are not a Christian - think about it - the trampling of our values will effect your comfy life pretty majorly in the grand scheme of things! And if you are a Christian and just don’t feel there is a lot you can do personally – I promise you every one person counts! Educating yourself and refusing to be quiet about the corruption you see IS POWERFUL! Good character should be enough for one to realize and not turn back... The mere sight of perfectly innocent little children that have their entire life ahead of them should definitely be enough... They are counting on YOU. 👶🏼 Don’t be quiet... 🔊 #familyiseverything #forfuturegenerations #dontbequiet
In deep thoughts and care,
